Whoops lol, my bad), the orb could be a Dark Seed of some kind, there's no way for us to know, but if we want an easy and kind of a fool proof explanation to what that orb was, I'd still go with it being Clown Trick.Darkspore was a video game that borrowed creature editing technology from Spore. Nobody can convince me this wasn't what actually happened, no sirree I am not in denial one bit :v)īut yeah, as TMS pointed out there's a lot of mystery about the Dark Seeds (and I just remembered that it hasn't actually been confirmed that the Mugendramon that became a half of Milleniumon was the same Dark Master from Adventure (I think? There's so much confusion surrounding this omg), so my speculation that the Dark Seeds could be just a form of Apocalymon's chaos and distortions would (could?) rely on that misconception. The logic of these games is highly questionable especially when considdering Adventure canon, hell I don't even considder them canon for this very reason, so I'd reccomend taking the information with a grain of salt even if it was true (as far as Ken's memories goes, he hallucinated Milleniumon and got the Dark Seed from something else, a broken Black Gear or a piece of the Dark Network, who knows. The exact same games also have Milleniumon revive characters who aren't technically dead yet and thus we end up with having duplicates of these characters even though it shouldn't be possible unless cloning Digimon souls turned out to be a thing. I guess you could say I have headcanon bias when it comes to this lol)

Along with my other headcanons about what that curse did to Gennai. Clown Trick can turn people into keychains, so why not old men too? (Of course, the orb hasn't been confirmed to be a part of Clown Trick either, but hey, it's a headcanon. Piemon has his Clown Trick though, so honestly I've always just assumed that the curse Piemon put on Gennai was just another one of Piemon's personal special abilities. Or, that's how I'd interpret it if you wanted to force the connection there. Pie did gain his powers from Apocalymon like Mugendramon did though, so if anything I'd guess that if the orb was connected to the Seeds, Apocalymon just gave skills that allowed Digimon to manipulate others in various ways (gears, networks, literal brainwashing) and each Digimon used this ability differently- like the orb and the Seeds could originate from the same chaos that Apocalymon was made of, but they've taken different forms and thus are differerent things. Personally I'd find it illogical to an extent to call it a Dark Seed, since the Seeds more or less came from Milleniumon, and Pie has no connection to Milleniumon. It could be retconned to be a Seed, but it hasn't been so far. There's a lot of stuff to support this idea (mostly just it making sense when you look at stuff), and you can tie headcanons into the thing, but yeah I doubt it's a Dark Seed. will basically be official fanfiction to the AdventureverseĪs for what the black orb was, yeah it has never been confirmed to be anything really, but if nothing more one could make the guess or the assumption that it was a curse Piemon put on Gennai to turn him into an old man. Because of this, when you get down to it tri. at all a while ago ( (the person asked in really broken Japanese whether or not there'd be Taiora in tri.)), so I highly doubt any other people who worked on Adventure and Zero Two (aside from voice actors) are actually involved with tri. Kakudou confirmed on his Twitter that he isn't involved with tri.
